    Short version: we don't collect anything.
    Floor Plan Area Calculator processes everything directly in your browser. Your floor plan images, room data, and measurements never leave your device and are never transmitted to any server.
  

1. Who We Are

Floor Plan Area Calculator ("we", "our", "the Service") is a free, browser-based tool available at floorplancalc.com. The Service allows users to upload floor plan images, trace room boundaries, and calculate areas and dimensions entirely client-side.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, transmit, or process:

Floor plan images you upload
Room names, vertex coordinates, or measurement data you enter
Reference lengths or scale settings
Exported CSV files
Any personally identifiable information (PII)
Account credentials (there are no accounts)

All image processing (edge detection, area calculation) runs entirely within your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. When you close or refresh the page, all data is discarded.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

The application itself does not set any cookies or use localStorage/sessionStorage to store personal data or floor plan information.

Third-party services embedded in the page (see Section 5 below) may set their own cookies subject to their respective privacy policies.

4. Log Data

Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically collect standard server log data when you visit the site, including:

Your IP address (anonymised where possible)
Browser type and version
Date and time of access
Pages requested (URLs)
Referring website

This data is used solely for security monitoring and aggregate traffic analysis. It is not linked to any personal identity and is not sold or shared with third parties beyond our hosting provider.

5. Third-Party Services

Google AdSense. This site displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to show you relevant ads based on your browsing history across other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com or by visiting aboutads.info. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

Google Analytics (if enabled). We may use Google Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated statistics about site usage (page views, session duration, browser type). This data is collected using anonymised IP addresses and is not linked to individuals. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this Service, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

7. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Because we do not collect personal data, most data-subject rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability) are satisfied by default — there is simply nothing to access or delete.
